Eric J. Simon is an associate professor in New England College's Department of Biology and Health Science in Henniker, New Hampshire. He teaches both science students and non-science majors introductory biology, as well as upper-level genetics, microbiology, tropical marine biology, and molecular biology courses. Dr. Simon holds a bachelor's degree in arts. with degrees in biology and computer science, as well as an M.A. Wesleyan University awarded him a B.S. in biology and a Ph.D. in biology.

Harvard University awarded him a Ph.D. in biochemistry. His research focuses on new ways to employ technology in the science classroom to improve teaching and learning, particularly for non-science majors. Campbell Essential Biology and Campbell Essential Biology with Physiology are co-authored by Dr. Simon.
