Monsieur Pamplemousse Investigates by Michael Bond
ABOUT THE BOKA collection of aphorisms in this book is unlike any other, in that it is framed in a fictional story, and together they seek to tell the truth. The story rings painfully familiar to anyone who has ever been a child, and to anyone who ever reached the old age. Mr. Reed Wright and his nephew Toochki look for a treasure, and each-his own. But, will they find it?
In modern times, an aphorism is analogous to a flash drive, or a jingle, or a logo-all of which contain an inconceivably great amount of information for their tiny size. A perfect definition of a treasure, indeed.
