James Roberts is a British comic book writer most known for his work on the Transformers property, which he has been involved with since co-writing the 2010 limited series Final Stand of the Wreckers with Nick Roche. Chaos, the series' conclusion, was co-written by him and Costa. Roberts is most known for the ongoing series Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye (commonly abbreviated to MTMTE), which began in January 2012 and lasted 57 issues plus annuals and one-shots. He is the creator of the new ongoing series Transformers: Lost Light, which picks up where his last series left off.
