Brad Smith is a Santa Monica-based studio jeweler, lapidary, and jewelry instructor. Hundreds of students have been introduced to the challenge and fun of making their own jewelry in his classes over the last 15 years. Smith also has 30 years of experience in factory automation, machine tools, CAD/CAM software, and robots, as well as hands-on experience building many jewelry classrooms, his own home, and running a family horse farm. He is a member of the Metal Arts Society of Southern California and the Culver City Rock & Mineral Club.
