Sheila Jackson, who designed the costumes for the popular television series Upstairs, Downstairs was Head of Costume at London Weekend Television. After recruiting from LWT she was a moderator for a number of theatre costume courses for several years. She is also the author of Costumes for the Stage (also published by New Amsterdam).
