"We LOVED these fabulous Morrells handwriting resources from the moment we saw them! They are exactly what we would have designed had we the time, resources and know-how to do it! They use the easy-top-read, easy-to-write Sassoon font made famous by Jolly Phonics and widely regarded to be the best font for learner readers and writersGood handwriting comes with lots of quality practise, how clever to combine this essential structured practice with other vital elements of spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, grammar etc. Suitable for first-time learners and older children. There are 2 lines to choose from. 1) the copymasters, the full resource books which you can photocopy (or scan and print) for use with your children at home or at school. Or 2) the workbooks which are non-photocopiable consumable workbooks designed for the children to write in." Lark Education "Great! An innovative slant on handwriting, that's fun for the child and supportive for the teacher." S. Ridge
Finding a solution to an age-old problem of indecipherable handwriting that is appropriate for all ages and abilities has always been a difficult task. Morrells Handwriting range of write-in practice workbooks and photocopiable teaching resources were written whilst I was working in a local primary school. From my experience I found that schools wanted to provide opportunities that promoted inclusion for all pupils to learn, achieve, and to have a chance to succeed, whilst ensuring that all learning obstacles were removed. They required a range of strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those with learning difficulties and gifted and talented students. They wanted increased legible handwriting, confident writers and achievement for all. I have written each book using a kinesthetic approach to learning with structured exercises that promote progression and confidence. The simplicity of this innovative handwriting scheme helps engage and inspire both young and old. Each book helps children and adults understand how to form and join letters correctly. Using a unique font with a highlighted link between each letter that guides the writer through the correct joining process, enables anyone struggling to master handwriting skills to quickly improve their handwriting. This progressive series of handwriting workbooks offer ample handwriting practice to promote essential writing skills, embedding spelling patterns, grammatical skills and sentence structure. Each activity book enables the writer to work independantly, buliding confidence in English and Maths skills, and to achieve fluent legible handwriting. My products are unique and flexible allowing teachers the freedom to dip in and out of the books as and when they are needed. That is why the Morrells Handwriting range of books have generated a phenomenal response, attracting worldwide attention from teachers, parents and educational publishers. Every publication is developed, written and published with the help and guidance of teachers, SEN Co-ordinators and teaching assistants. These workbooks are ideal for anyone wanting to quickly improve their handwriting skills. A wide variety of motivational Literacy activities help older children correct handwriting problems.
