Steve Hodel is a Los Angeles native who grew up in the city. He worked with the LAPD for nearly twenty-four years, the majority of them as a homicide detective supervisor, and had one of the best solution rates on the force. He's also the author of Black Dahlia Avenger II and Most Wicked. He resides in the city of Sherman Oaks, California.
