The aim of this book is to identify as many of these sites as possible, and to present information so that readers may find and visit or drive over the historic courses for themselves. There are over 800 sites associated with motor sports history in Britain. Some were used only once, others frequently over a number of years. Many of the roads used for the early events are still in use and can be driven over today. Julian Hunt is a retired civil servant with a long-standing interest in motorsport and road racing in particular. He has contributed articles to the Vintage Sports-Car Club's Bulletin, The 750 Motor Club Bulletin and the Magazine of the Pre-War Austin Seven Club.
