Movement and Drama in Therapy by Audrey Wethered
This classic book explores the role of drama, movement and music in therapy. It clearly explains the fundamental principles of movement and, with detailed use of case studies, its application in different therapeutic situations - in groups, with individuals, and with people with learning, physical or psychological difficulties. It is an invaluable resource for those experienced in therapy who desire to understand movement, for those trained in movement, who seek to apply what they have learned in the therapeutic and other remedial ways, and as an introduction to both movement and therapy for those in other disciplines.
[Readers] may find, in these pages, a theory connecting the inner world with practical daily living.. I wish this book every success. I hope it will reach many people and light sparks, answer quests, strengthen endeavour and broaden horizons. -- from the Foreword

Audrey Wethered is one of the few people still living who studied individually with Rudolf Laban. She has put his theory and approach into practice in her work. Now over 80 years old, she still works in the healing field and teaches students.
