Born in 1945 in the USA, Bruce Aitken grew up in a family that was full of faith and spirit and love. After an injury ended a baseball career, he answered an ad in a newspaper that changed his life. Casting fate to the wind, he took a job with American Express in 1969 in war-torn Vietnam, and embarked on a life-long love of the Far East and adventure. It led him to people and companies that offered private and confidential financial services, first with Deak and Company (Far East) Limited in Hong Kong. Professionally known as Mr Clean, Aitken was hired by Nicholas Deak, a member of the forerunner of the CIA, and once acclaimed on the cover of Time as the 'James Bond of moving money'.Aitken became directly involved in some of the most famous financial scandals of the 1970s and 80s: the Lockheed disgrace, the Cessna-Milner affair, the Nugan Hand scandal and many more. After a period of incarceration in a US prison for money laundering, and a longing for purpose in life and redemption, Aitken started a popular Sunday night radio program called Hour of Love, with a special segment called Prison Visitation on the Air with a captive audience of listeners in all Hong Kong correctional facilities.
