Mr Tiger Goes Wild by Peter Brown
Are you bored with being sensible? Do you want to have more fun? Mr. Tiger knows exactly how you feel. Fed up of tea parties, top hats and talking about the weather, he astounds his friends when he decides to go...WILD. But does he go too far? After all, the wilderness can get pretty lonely. Mr Tiger Goes WIld is a beautifully illustrated and brilliantly funny book from Caldecott Honor-winning artist Peter Brown shows that there's a time and place for everything...even going wild. Peter Brown is also the creator of many other books including the fantastically funny My Teacher is a Monster.
This is the first picture book we've read in ages where I've thought to myself that it is a modern classic and I absolutely must make sure I keep it for my grandchildrenThis is a truly charming book. * beingamummy.co.uk *
The book is most assuredly an excellent starting point for discussions relating to being yourself, difference/divergence and acceptance for children in primary and even secondary schools. * jillrbennett.wordpress.com *
Although short on words, the glorious India ink and watercolour illustrations make this an enjoyable read. -- Children's Book of the Week * Stourbridgenews.co.uk *
Author Peter Brown takes us along Mr Tiger's journey into the wilderness but the question is, will he be too lonely out here alone? * Your Cotswold Family *
We all LOVE this book - it is beautifully written, very simplistic in style but just wonderful... Mr Tiger is a great protagonist and his 'journey' is both interesting and poignant. We would all highly recommend this. -- Family Review * Guardian Children's Books Website *
This is an inspired book that is exquisitely illustrated and can easily lead to a discussion about being yourself and acceptance. * Guardian *
