Vivian French is a world-renowned children's author and storyteller who has extensive experience of young children through her work in playgroups, drama workshops and theatre. She has had tremendous success in writing for this age group, with bestselling titles such as Hedgehogs Don't Eat Hamburgers and Guinea Pigs on the Go - also illustrated by Clive Scruton. She has been nominated for many awards - most recently for the 1995 Smarties Award with A Song for Toad (Walker). She regularly visits schools in the UK and tours often with Book Trust Scotland's Readiscovery Bus. Vivian French lives in Edinburgh. Clive Scruton is a successful picture book artist whose titles include Sidney the Monster by David Wood (Walker), It's a Go to the Park Day by Vivian French (Walker) and A Goodnight Kind of Feeling by Tony Bradman (HarperCollins). He was also the illustrator of Guinea Pigs on the Go (see above). Clive Scruton lives in East Grinstead, West Sussex.
