Murder in Plane Sight by Julie Holmes
Aircraft mechanic Sierra Bauer finds a dead body in her inspection plane. Evidence pointing to Sierra causes Detective Quinn Moore to peg her as a suspect despite his attraction to her, forcing her to prove her innocence. She and Quinn must expose a network of money and deceit threatening the aviation world before Sierra becomes the next victim.
Holmes, Julie: - A writer since elementary school, Julie Holmes has had short stories published in small press magazines such as the Galactic Citizen and Fighting Chance. A graduate of Thief River Falls Technical College's Aviation Maintenance Technology program, she worked as an aircraft mechanic for a commuter airline at Detroit's Wayne County Airport and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Beyond aviation, she spent sixteen years in computer technology, and now works as a technical writer for a software company. Julie is a member of the national Sisters in Crime (SinC) writers' organization, and is an active member of the Twin Cities SinC chapter. An empty-nester, she lives with her husband on an eight-acre hobby farm in south-central Minnesota, and spends her non-writing time reading, cultivating garden vegetables, and walking as she ponders her next book.
