In 2008, she released Other People, a collection of hilarious illustrated lists and anthropomorphized animals that established her comic-making style. My Dirty Stupid Eyes, her first collection with D+Q, was released in 2013 to tremendous critical acclaim. Lisa Hanawalt creates graphics and cartoons for publications such as The New York Times, Hazlitt, McSweeneys, Chronicle Books, and Vanity Fair, as well as writing and drawing a quarterly food column for Lucky Peach for which she received a James Beard Award in 2014. She is the character designer and co-producer of the Netflix original series Bojack Horseman, and she presently resides in Los Angeles, California.
