As they travel across Italy, bonding over wine and women, and butting heads over the struggles Emiliano's generation inherited from Vittorio's, the two begin to see the world, and writing, in a different way.
Edoardo Nesi is a writer, filmmaker, and translator from Italy. Bruce Chatwin, Malcolm Lowry, Stephen King, and Quentin Tarantino were among the first authors he translated. He has six novels to his credit, one of which, L'età dell'oro, was a finalist for the 2005 Strega Award and a Bruno Cavallini Prize winner. He authored and directed the film Fughe da fermo (Fandango, 2001), which was based on his novel of the same name. He has also translated David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest. Antony Shugaar is a translator and novelist.
I Lie for a Living, a collaboration with the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC, is his most recent book, and he is also the coauthor of Latitude Zero. I Hadn't Understood by Diego De Silva, The Nun by Simonetta Agnello Hornby, and The Road to Hope by Stéphane Hessel and Edgar Morin (Other Press, 2012) are among his most recent translations. He also works as a freelance journalist for the Boston Globe and the Washington Post, where he writes reviews.
