Marty Crump is a biology adjunct professor at Utah State University and Northern Arizona University. She has worked with tropical amphibians in the fields of parental care, reproduction, territoriality, cannibalism, and tadpole ecology for more than forty-five years. Her research has brought the issue of dwindling amphibian populations to light. She is the author of the award-winning children's book The Mystery of Darwin's Frog, in addition to her popular science writing. She currently resides in Logan, Utah.
