Andrea Bollinger, geb. 1962, hat an der Universitat Basel in Philosophie promoviert. Nach der editorischen Mitarbeit bei den Gesammelten Werken Johann Jakob Bachofens und bei der Kritischen Gesamtausgabe der Briefe Friedrich Nietzsches arbeitet sie zur Zeit an der Briefregestausgabe Meta von Salis. Andreas Cesana, geb. 1951, ist Professor fur Philosophie und Leiter Studium generale an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universitat Mainz. Die Arbeit, die er zur Promotion an der Universitat Basel vorgelegt hat, ist unter dem Titel Johann Jakob Bachofens Geschichtsdeutung - Eine Untersuchung ihrer geschichtsphilosophischen Voraussetzungen (1983) erschienen. Fritz Graf, geb. 1944, ist Professor of Greek and Latin und Director of Epigraphy am Center for Epigraphical and Palaeographical Studies der Ohio State University in Columbus. Er war von 1987 bis 1999 Professor fur Lateinische Philologie an der Universitat Basel, wo er sich unter anderem mit den Werken Johann Jakob Bachofens auseinandersetzte.
