Nanoparticles for Neurological Disorders by Sonali Sundram
Nanotechnology is opening new frontiers in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders by overcoming many of the limitations of conventional therapies. This new volume presents a comprehensive overview of how nanoparticle-based systems are transforming the management of diseases affecting the central nervous system through targeted drug delivery, improved bioavailability, and enhanced therapeutic precision.
Beginning with the principles of nanotechnology in neurology, the book examines applications in Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumors, epilepsy, spinal cord injury, stroke, psychiatric disorders, dementia, meningitis, migraines, muscular dystrophy, and autoimmune and viral encephalitis. Chapters explore innovative nanoparticle platforms that improve drug transport across the blood-brain barrier, enhance neuroprotection, promote tissue regeneration, and support more effective diagnosis and treatment. The volume also discusses emerging biomaterials, nanoscaffolds, and advanced therapeutic strategies that are shaping the future of neurological care.
“Relevant and significant addition to this rapidly expanding field. . . Offers an in-depth discussion of the various applications of nanoparticle technology for treating a variety of neurological conditions. . . . Gives readers a realistic and forward-thinking viewpoint on the subject. . . . An exhaustive book that combines academic insights with practical applications. . .
