Nasmyth, Wilson & Co. by John Cantrell
This is a short history of one of the most famous steam locomotive manufacturers in Britain. Nasmyth, Wilson & Co. became a familiar name across several continents until the 1930s economic recession forced a planned contraction upon the locomotive-building industry.
John Cantrell has written a number of books and articles on the early engineering industry. He is the co-editor with Gillian Cookson of Henry Maudslay and the Pioneers of the Machine Age published by Tempus in 2002.
