National Geographic Photography Guide for Kids by Neil Johnson
For the first time National Geographic presents a photo guide especially for kids ages 10 and up. Text, photos, and diagrams combine to teach basic photographic concepts, including composition, lighting, special effects, common pitfalls, etc., using a variety of simple point-and-shoot cameras. A section on digital photography will touch on using computers and the Internet to send photographs to friends and family. Tips from National Geographic photographers will be featured throughout.
Neil Johnson is the head of a new inter-disciplinary research group in Complexity at University of Miami in Florida. Previously he was Professor of Physics and co-director of research collaboration into Complexity at Oxford University.
