Navigating the Labyrinth of the Non-Mainstream Child by Susan Hendrie-Marais

One neurotic and overly educated mother's experience raising a non-mainstream child, including a detailed appendix describing medications, therapies, therapists and developmental guidelines. This is a journal of lessons learned, mistakes made and advice as to how to navigate this world successfully.
Susan Hendrie-Marais has successfully raised a non-mainstream child. She was one of a small group of founders of a school for special needs children in Marin County. Not being a professional in this field, she has drawn on her education, experience, and instinct to forge a path through the often confusing and exhausting world of non-mainstream children. Susan holds two master's degrees, has worked on the scientific staff of two university laboratories, and was a management consultant before entering the labyrinth.
