Margo Jefferson, a Pulitzer Prize winner for criticism, worked as a book and arts critic for Newsweek and The New York Times for many years. Her work has featured in Vogue, New York magazine, The Nation, and Guernica, among other magazines. Negroland, her autobiography, won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Autobiography. She is also a professor of writing at Columbia University School of the Arts and the author of On Michael Jackson.
