He was a former producer for Three's Company and Welcome Back, Kotter, as well as a former staff member for The Carol Burnett Show, for which he won three Emmys. He is the author of The New Comedy Writing Step by Step and has written for comedian Phyllis Diller. He was also the former head writer for Bob Hope. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
