Maxim was born in Barnett and educated in France. He is the owner a the legendary MURDER ONE bookshop, the world's largest crime and mystery bookshop. He is also the Literary Director of CRIME 2000, a film and literary festival to be held at the National Film Theatre, Southbank in July.
