New Peter Dixon Poetry Collection 2 by Peter Dixon
From The Colour of My Dreams I play my world of make-believe I play it every day and teachers stand and watch me but don't know what to say. They give me diagnostic tests they try out reading schemes but none of them will ever know the colour of my dreams.
Originally from London, Peter Dixon came to Hampshire in the 1970's and spent twenty years working as a Senior Lecturer in Early Years Education before becoming a full time writer, painter and performer in 1995. A meeting with Roger McGough in the Fulflood Arms pub inspired him to start writing and years later it was to be this self-same pub where he and Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows hatched the plan to turn The Colour of my Dreams into an album.
