Nicola Hadfield is one of South Africa’s most respected décor personalitiesHailed by the media as South African décor’s “first lady” and “queen of the expo industry”, she pioneered Africa’s first multinational interior design showcase, Decorex SA, in 1994, which she later expanded to Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal. In 1998 Nicola sold Decorex SA and after completing a three year directorship, moved to Cape Town. Today, sought after as a décor trend commentator and guest speaker, she consults on key blue-chip creative projects, travelling to wherever her clients’ needs take her. In 2003 Nicola received an award as one of 15 Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World from the US-based Star Group. She also designs a small exclusive signature range of jewellery and, in line with her creative talents, she enjoys painting in her spare time.
