Amritsar, India, 1919. Arjan sets out on a perilous mission to save his father, in the face of armed troops, martial curfew, and vicious local bandits. Can he escape and get to his father before it’s too late?
..when the books are written, as this series is, with strong credible characters and authentic settings, children are really transported to the period and place. Bali Rai was born in Leicester and studied politics at Southbank University in London. He had a series of jobs including phone sales, bar management and running a nightclub before he sold his first novel, (un)arranged marriage, and became a full time writer. He is married with a daughter, and his other loves are reggae music and Liverpool FC.
