Ron Kolm ist eines der Gruendungsmitglieder des Literaturkollektivs The Unbearables und Herausgeber seiner Anthologien Crimes of the Beats, The Worst Book I Ever Read und The Unbearables Big Book of Sex. Er schreibt fuer das Magazin Sensitive Skin, dessen Herausgeber er auch ist, und ist Autor von The Plastic Factory (Autonomedia), Divine Comedy (Fly by Night Press), Suburban Ambush (Autonomedia), Duke & Jill (Unknown Press). Zusammen mit Jim Feast schrieber den Romans Neo Phobe. Eine neue Sammlung seiner Kurzgeschichten wurde soeben unter dem Titel Night Shift von Autonomedia veroeffentlicht. Seine Arbeiten sind erschienen in Live Mag!, Flapperhouse, Great Weather for Media, der Anthologie Too Much, The Opiate, Gathering of the Tribes, Local Knowledge und The Outlaw Bible of American Poetry. Kolm gab einen Abschnitt zu den Unbearables in Alan Kaufmans vor Kurzem veroeffentlichter Outlaw Bible of American Art heraus und schrieb eine Einleitung dazu. Er hat ueber die Jahre in vielen der bedeutendsten unabhaengigen Buchlaeden New Yorks gearbeitet, in The Strand, St. Mark's Bookshop, Shakespeare & Co und Posman Books im Grand Central Terminal. Kolms Schriften wurden von der Bibliothek der New York University erworben und in der Fales Collection als Teil der Downtown Writers Group archiviert.
