When Will accidentally creates a mysterious portal during a trip to the zoo, he's transported into the world of the Night Zoo, and thrust into an incredible adventure. Joined by his friends, Sam and Riya, Will journeys to Fire Desert, where rumours of a creature called 'the Grip' have struck fear into the hearts of the animals. By night, Joshua Davidson is the head Night Zookeeper. He works in the Night Zoo and cares for many magical animals such as purple octocows and banana hedgehogs. During his nightly rounds he enjoys playing memory games with the time-travelling elephant and hide and seek with the spying giraffes. Sadly he is yet to win a single game in either contest. By day, he is an author, artist, game designer, and tech entrepreneur. He came up with the idea for nightzookeeper.com, a website where anyone can draw animals and write stories about them, whilst studying an MA in Digital Art at Norwich University of the Arts. Since launching Night Zookeeper it has been nominated for a BAFTA, won a London Book Fair award, and been used in thousands of schools across the world to inspire amazing creative writing.
