This work is by the author of "Lockkeeper's Daughter" which described Pat Warner's childhood and life in a lockkeeper's cottage at Tardebigge in Worcestershire. The book looks at Tardebigge, the village, during the early years of the 20th century and considers the impact of World War I upon the tiny community. The VAD Hospital in the village hall, the Earls of Plymouth, and Hewell Grange are all featured in this review which saw many social changes.
