Against Control is Jack Sargeant's most recent book; prior works include Deathtripping: The Extreme Underground and Naked Lens: Beat Film. His essays on film and culture have featured in a number of anthologies and periodicals, as well as on DVD releases such as the Throbbing Gristle DVD box set. He appeared in the documentaries Blank City, The Advocate For Fagdom, and Llik Your Idols, among others, as an interviewee. He's given talks all over the world about underground movies, beat culture, William Burroughs, and a variety of other issues. Jack is now the Revelation Film Festival's program director.
