Gould Lee, Arthur: - Arthur Gould Lee was born in 1894 and served in the Sherwood Foresters, RFC, and RAF from 1915 to 1946 when he retired as an air vice-marshal. He took up writing on retirement from the RAF and published eight nonfiction books, all of which have become classics in aviation nonfiction.
