Sylvia Olsen is an award-winning author of young adult novels, first readers, picture books, history, and personal essays, among other genres. She also makes knitting patterns and blogs about knitting. Sylvia teaches First Nations housing management at Vancouver Island University and is working to expand housing options on Canadian reservations. Sylvia lives on W̱SNEĆ territory in North Saanich, British Columbia.
