The Nose (hb) by Lappin Elena
Natasha Kaplan, a giggly, overeducated thirty-something New Yorker, is now married and living in London. Her life seems quite settled until she accepts the job of editor of an Anglo-Jewish magazine called "The Nose", which turns out to be a battlefield of near-mythic proportions.
Elena Lappin was born in Moscow in 1954 and grew up in Prague and Hamburg. She has lived in Israel, Canada and America and now lives in London with her husband and three children. Her collection of stories, Foreign Brides, was published to critical acclaim by Picador in 1999.
