Mark Brocklesby was born on Jersey and has a lifelong interest in the history, archaeology and folklore of the Channel Islands. A well qualified researcher, he gained a degree in archaeology before going on to focus his studies on Jersey for his MA. He worked as a bookseller on the island before taking up a position at the library and archives there.
