Ian Wallace is a German Emeritus Professor at the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. His primary research and publication interests are in the fields of German literary exile and GDR literature. Feuchtwanger and Remigration (ed. ), a new book, was published recently. Vision and Reality (co-ed., 2013). 2014, with Richard Dove).

He started the GDR Monitor (later renamed German Monitor) series in 1979 and served as its editor until 2008. From its inception in 2001, he has served as President of the International Feuchtwanger Society. He is also on the Editorial Board of the Research Institute for German and Austrian Exile Studies' Yearbook in London.
