The Offenders Nemesis by Pete Haynes

There has been a 'big change' in society where now politicians are superfluous to needs, and as celebrities are more meaningful to the general populace they are used in the process of social control. The Offender's Nemesis is the most popular television show that deals with 'undesirables' in a society that is in a perpetual climate of fear. The show satisfies a resentful public and distracts them from their reality. The 'Offenders' are ridiculed, punished, tortured and killed in a variety of methods that are gratuitously hideous, yet bizarrely entertaining. It is crude, brutal and simplistically slapstick. The show's host is Alan Manville, the country's most famous celebrity figure, a man who is seen as in touch with the ordinary person. Chris Kirby sees his brother on the show and from then on his life falls apart as his wife and daughter are separated from him. Will Chris be reunited with his family? Will he find his brother? We follow Chris as he embarks upon his search, and discovers that things in his personal life were very different from what he thought.
The People's Daily Morning Star: Dystopian Vision of Class-Divided State We're In: SET at some point in a not-too-distant dystopia, this disturbing novel reflects back to us an exaggerated image of present-day Britain, where values of decency have at last been beaten into retreat and where both the ruling order and the proletariat bay for the blood of anyone who steps out of linePeter Mason
I was born in West London and became interested in writing at an early age. I began writing plays after success as the drummer in the punk group The Lurkers. I left school at fourteen and did a variety of jobs, mainly working on building sites, but I have also worked in a crematorium and amusement arcades. After drumming in the group - we went on Top of the Pops and other television shows, made albums and toured Europe and the USA - I went to university. I have worked as a Support worker for many years in the community with people with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties. I lived for a while in West Belfast, where I worked as a project worker in a victim's group; I worked with people living with trauma caused because of the conflict in Ireland. An early work, Thank Your Lucky Stars, was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, running for three weeks to excellent reviews and I had a short play produced at The Bush Theatre in London that went down very well. I have had four books published, two are novels, and have written a small scene for Steven Berkoff, which was in a recently released film.
