Oils and Acrylics by Nick Tidnam

For those who have barely put pencil to paper or brush to canvas, Oils and Acrylics gently guides readers through the basics, helping build confidence and develop their skills to exploit the different properties of these unique and distinctive media. For the more experienced painter, advanced techniques and subject matter will inspire artists to go further and explore areas on which they may be a little rusty. With step-by-step instruction, professional artists Nick Tidnam and Curtis Tappendem explain how to build successful pictures, creating special effects and finishes. Through practise, Oils and Acrylics shows anyone how they can achieve mastery of these wonderful media to produce paintings of which they can be proud.
