This study examines the build-up to the invasion of Okinawa, the course of the Pacific War to April 1945 and how opinion was divided in American Command as how best to tackle the last obstacle before invasion of Japan itself. Okinawa was as much a naval battle as a land battle.
Simon Foster hails from Sydney, Australia, but has called New York home for many years. He holds a degree in writing and pays the bills by working as an ad man: a job that, whilst ranking just above car salesman in the credibility stakes, has helped him hone his writing skills and seen him walk the red carpet at the Emmys.
