Old Poultry Breeds by Fred Hams

During the 1960s many of the old breeds of poultry almost died out, but there is now a growing interest in these animals. This book illustrates many breeds of chicken, their history and development. There is also a chapter on turkeys.'
Fred Hams grew up on a poultry farm in Kent and first exhibited Aylesbury ducks in 1948, going on to become a well-known Poultry Club judge and a waterfowl judge. He also wrote Old Poultry Breeds for Shire.
