One Hundred Philosophers by Peter J King
What is the nature of good and evil? What is the meaning of existence and who are we really? For thousands of years the greatest minds have struggled with questions such as these, weighing every thought against its every conceivable opposite. Who were these men and women? How did they live their lives? Was Spinoza, with his great work on ethics, a moral man? Did Nietzsche match up to his own ideal of the Superman? Discover the true stories behind some of the world's greatest thinkers and philosophers, from both East and West. Mind expanding and entertaining, this fascinating book examines the lives and thoughts of 100 men and women who changed the way we view the world.
