One More Hour by Desmond Scott
This is a sequel to "Typhoon Pilot" and completes the author's account of his experiences as a fighter pilot in World War II. The most-decorated of the 11,000 New Zealanders who served with the RAF, he was honoured by four countries for his contribution to the air battles over Europe. He flew Hurricanes and Spitfires before commanding a mobile wing of rocket-firing Typhoons, and at the age of 25 became the RAF's youngest Group Captain. These recollections are of the planes, the airfields, the raids and, above all, the men who fought and flew with him.
Bernard Scott, Ph.D. (1976), Brunel University, retired from Cranfield University as Reader in Cybernetics in 2010. He now works as an independent scholar. He has many publications to his credit, including Explorations in Second Order Cybernetics (echoraum, 2011).
