Operation Timewarp by Kate Reid
A hundred years on, genetic selection has ensured that young people are too well-behaved to step out of line and stand up to the evil President Rigg. So 12-year-old Adam, his young brother Elliot, and Tara their new neighbour are coopted to travel to the future to infiltrate Buckingham Palace and help overthrow him. It should be a piece of cake, because Rigg has no fear of the young. Life in the future, where they are groomed to pose as the McCoy children, turns out to be exciting and luxurious ? and part of the fun of the story is the detail of domestic life, lessons, clothes and transport. But it is also much more perilous than the children were led to believe. Someone is out to get them. A fast-moving, up-to-the-minute adventure story written with great characters and plenty of humour.
