LYNN ASHBURNER is currently working as a consultant in Health Services Management for a World Bank project in Bulgaria. In her academic career, she was most recently a Principal Research fellow at University College, Northampton and a lecturer in Health Services Management at Keele University. She has worked with the NHS for over ten years and has written on boards and governance issues, the role of professionals and the management of large scale change. Her current research interests are within primary care and the development of more participatory research groups.
