His work has been seen at the Dance Theater Workshop in New York, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and ImPulsTanz in Vienna, among others. In 2001 and 2008, he was the driving force behind Freedom of Information, a performance/protest/meditation initiative. The National Endowment for the Arts, the Jerome Foundation, Creative Capital, the Rockefeller MAP Fund, and the New York Foundation for the Arts have all supported him.
He holds two Bessie Awards from the New York Dance and Performance Festival: one for choreography and the other for dancing with John Jasperse Company. He's performed with My Robot Friend, Antony and the Johnsons, and Vincent Segal as a singer. He routinely teaches workshops all around the world and is the creator of DEEP (Death Electric Emo Protest) AEROBICS.
