Tom McAlindon is Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Hull. He is the author of six books on the drama of Shakespeare and his contemporaries, including Shakespeare's Tudor History (2001), Shakespeare's Tragic Cosmos (1991), and English Renaissance Tragedy (1986).
