".. a skillful combination of military, economic and social history, at once rigorous and readable, and copiously illustrated. It's still the first volume I would offer to a newcomer to the general subject."

-- Brian Kappler * The Gazette *

"The book will be of interest to those seeking to learn what public relations practitioners and consultants really do. Corporate executives will have a good chance to expand their personal knowledge of public relations methods, the same for government officials, as well as students of business and public affairs."

-- George Bonavia * From my Bookshelf *

"... this book warrants a place in public-relations course studies."

-- Sidney Allinson * CBRA *

"PR is interesting reading ... the book is content rich."

-- Walt Romanow * Canadian Journal of Communication *
