He wrote and edited the feature picture The Ice Runner, which was co-produced by Russia and the United States. At the Savannah International Film Festival, he won best picture for Kinda Nice for a White-Boy, an independent movie he directed and co-wrote with novelist Tad Williams. With Edward Neumeier (writer of RoboCop), he co-wrote Ground Zero Texas, a best-selling Sony video game.

He and his wife Erika, as well as his bullmastiff Nelson, Lucy the lab pit mix, and Riddle the cat, live in Los Angeles. His debut novel is GORGEOUS, NAKED, AND DEAD.
