Before becoming Professor and Head of English at the University of Exeter, Tim Kendall taught at the universities of Oxford, Newcastle, and Bristol. Modern English War Poetry and The Oxford Handbook of British and Irish War Poetry are among his OUP books, and he is currently working on War Poetry: A Very Short Introduction.
