Bruckner, Ferdinand: - Theodore Tagger (Ferdinand Bruckner) was born in Vienna, but grew up in Graz. He studied music, medicine and law in Vienna, Paris and Berlin, where he founded, in 1923, the theatre he was to direct until 1927. In 1933 Bruckner returned to Vienna, but he soon emigrated, first to France, then, in 1933, to America.
